Mr. John P. Zimmerman graduated Denison University in 1980 with a degree in Political Science. He was honored as a Phi Beta Kappa in his senior year and was a four year member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. John also served as a player/coach for the Denison baseball team. John then attended Washington University, graduating with his law degree in 1983. He was an in-house member of the national champion Moot Court team from Washington University in 1983.
Mr. Zimmerman has focused his practice on Workers' Compensation defense for 25 years. He has represented companies such as General Motors and Nationwide Insurance. Mr. Zimmerman has also acquired experience in Civil Litigation over the course of his career. John started his career in the criminal field, first as a public defender and then as an Assistant Prosecutor and Chief Trial Attorney in the St. Charles County Office. In the course of this employment, Mr. Zimmerman first chaired around 30 criminal jury trials. John also taught trial skills within the office and at the National Association of Trial Attorneys School in Houston, Texas. John has also attended and completed the Pepperdine course on mediations and advanced mediation skills.

Mr. Zimmerman is a past member of the Olivette Parks and Recreation Department and a coach of the St. Louis Slam and Midwest Phillies select baseball teams.
